This survey groups a number of published papers based on the Arabic Language Applications (ALP) towards tagging related problems utilized and approaches with the difference between types of tags used.

Many AI investigators and researchers have worked and performed POS utilizing various machine-learning methods, such as Hidden-Markov-Model (HMM), Brill, Maximum-Match (MM), decision tree, bee colony, Neural-Network (NN), and other hybrid methods. This paper aims to survey and gather the most recent research related to Arabic Part of Speech (APoS), pointing to tagger methods used for the Arabic language, which ought to aim to constructing corpus for Arabic tongue. POS-tagging gained the interest of researchers in computational linguistics sciences in the recent years. The Arabic language has taken its share of the huge technological explosion that has swept the world, and therefore it needs to be addressed with natural language processing applications and tasks. Part-of-speech tagging systems assign the proper grammatical tag or morpho-syntactical category labels automatically to every word in the corpus. POS tagging have been designed for English, we noticed that the Arabic taggers are often based on classifications (tagsets). The Arabic Language is the native tongue of more than 400 million people around the world, it is also a language that carries an important religious and international weight. POS tagging, Arabic language, Machine learning, NLP Abstract Arabic Morphological Analyzer (Including Stemming and Root Extraction) and Part-Of-Speech Tagger Qutuf (): An Arabic Morphological analyzer and Part-Of-Speech tagger as an Expert System. Therefore, the primary objectives of this paper are to summarize and organize the works for tagging the Arabic text based on SVM automatically and efficiently for motivating and guiding researchers to do more research on the online applications for the Arabic language.Department Computer Science, College of Science, University of Baghdad, Baghdad, Iraq This paper aims to review the implementation of support vector machines (SVM) for utilizing the POS for the Arabic Language. Identifying unique POS tags for the Arabic language is a difficult task. The POS is employed in different fields of natural languages processing such as text translation, and extraction, text classification and identifies the type of speech. Arabic POS Tagging is the process of identifying lexical category of the Arabic word existing in a sentence based on its context 5. Therefore, the study of part of the speech can contribute to literature and progress in the signs of the Arabic language. Also, the distinction between the differences in the Arab derivatives is a complicated issue, so the clarification of the correct types on the POS requires the use of different resources and advanced processing. Enriching the text with linguistic analysis will maximize the potential. Our aim is to develop a part-of-speech tagger for annotating a wide range of Arabic text formats, domains and genres including both vowelized and non-vowelized text.

Hence, one word could spell in several different ways. Morphological analyzers and part-of-speech taggers are key technologies for most text analysis applications. Hence, the Arabic language is challenging to identify the types of part of the speech of a particular word in a given context because most modern texts do not use diacritical marks. There is not much research that discusses the Part of speech (POS) tagger for the Arabic language.
